give Airyo more *HUGS*<-- I
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyday, I'm getting more and more comments from people who want clay dolls. They're a huge hit with most people at school, and for quite some time, I've been planning to make a bunch and sell 'em online.
I'd be happy to make people some in my spare time, but I'm not very aware of how comissions work out..
Plus, I need to start my website ASAP. I've already got a form written out (thanks to meh buddy) and we're still goin' at it.
If anybody wants to see my "skills," check these out & tell me what you think. If I were to make more of these, how much would you be willing to pay for it & would you buy it? ('cuz I dunno about how much I should sell them for
Here are the ones I've done as of yet:
Devious Comments
Maybe one day, when I get a Paypal account or something...
As for the price...I suppose it'd depend how big and how complex they are.
I think anywhere between $3 to $10 would be okay for a medium-complexity doll with the height of probably around 2 to 5 inches.
I dunno; I'm really bad at pricing.
I've always been thinking about taking commissions [to save up for University, although I doubt anywhere would want to buy stuff from me X'D], but never know what prices to pick.
I used to make clay things for fun now and then, and it's sometimes hard for me and sometimes easy, so I don't know how much effort is needed to make something people would consider "medium-complexity"...
Sorry if I'm not much help... ;__;
CAKE? O:
I think, if you exclude the part about "complexity", anywhere around $3 to $20 sounds good. Again, depends on how hard it is to make [and size]. If it's harder, raise the price [but negotiate first, of course].
Oh~~, and have you ever thought about make some of your clay dolls into stuffed animals~~~? I think a lot of people would like that too. :D Although maybe the price range should be $7 to $23 for these?
They're quite small actually o_O About 2 inches. XD; *supah puny*
I was thinking of doing a figurine-type thing... but then I was like.. I'd need plastic 'cuz this clay is a bit too fragile.
But your advice is really helpful! ^^ ~
Stuffed animals? I've done that before.. just not the exact same stuff as the clay dolls. XD; But that's a good idea though
you should work on smoothing out the rough spots and adding more detail, cuz they seem a tad....... "flat"...
